Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated by reference into the Genovra AI Terms of Service. By using the platform, you agree to this AUP in its entirety.

1. Permitted Use

Genovra AI is designed exclusively for use by licensed attorneys and legal professionals operating within the United States legal system, or staff acting under the direct supervision of a licensed attorney. Permitted uses include:

  • Analysis of medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery packages for litigation preparation
  • Due diligence document review for M&A and corporate transactions
  • Employment discrimination case file analysis (Title VII, ADA, ADEA)
  • Criminal defense preparation, including deposition audio analysis via Deep Ear™
  • Generation of structured case summaries for attorney review and sign-off
  • Pass-through billing documentation for client disbursement

2. Prohibited Use

The following uses are strictly prohibited and constitute a material breach of the Terms of Service, entitling Provider to immediately suspend or terminate access without refund:

  • Unreviewed Court SubmissionsUsing Genovra AI Output in any court filing, legal brief, or official submission without independent review and sign-off by a licensed supervising attorney.
  • Credential SharingSharing, transferring, or sublicensing access credentials to any individual outside your firm or to any unauthorized third party.
  • Reverse EngineeringAttempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, extract model weights, probe API architecture, or replicate the reasoning protocols of the Genovra AI system.
  • Automated ScrapingUsing automated scripts, bots, or programmatic tools to extract, harvest, or bulk-download Output from the platform beyond your authorized API access.
  • Unauthorized Client DataUploading documents belonging to a third party without that party's explicit written consent, or uploading documents in violation of any court order or protective order.
  • Non-Professional UseUsing the platform for any purpose unrelated to legitimate legal professional work, including personal research, academic use without institutional agreement, or commercial resale.
  • Unlawful PurposeUsing the platform in furtherance of any activity that violates applicable law, including but not limited to obstruction of justice, witness tampering, or fraud.

3. Data Integrity & Accuracy Responsibility

Client is solely responsible for ensuring that all documents uploaded to Genovra AI are accurate, authentic, and lawfully obtained. Provider does not verify the authenticity of uploaded files. Any Output generated by Provider is dependent on the quality and completeness of the documents submitted. Provider bears no liability for inaccurate Output resulting from corrupted, incomplete, or fraudulent input documents.

4. No Unauthorized Practice of Law

Genovra AI Output is not legal advice and must not be presented as such to any client, court, or opposing party. Use of the platform by non-attorneys without licensed attorney supervision may constitute unauthorized practice of law in certain jurisdictions. Client is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with their applicable state bar rules and regulations regarding the use of AI in legal practice.

⚠ Always consult your state bar's AI ethics guidance before using AI-generated Output in client matters.

5. Security Obligations

Client is responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and dedicated firm environment. Client must notify Provider immediately at [email protected] upon discovery of any unauthorized access or suspected breach. Provider reserves the right to suspend access pending investigation of any security incident without liability for service interruption during such suspension.

6. Enforcement & Consequences

⚠ Violations Result in Immediate Termination

Provider reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate Client's access, without notice and without refund of any prepaid fees, upon determination — at Provider's sole discretion — that Client has violated any provision of this AUP. Termination under this section does not limit Provider's right to pursue recovery of damages, legal costs, or arbitration under the Terms of Service.

Provider may modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the dashboard or email. Continued use of the platform following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.

This Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated by reference into and forms part of the Genovra AI Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service shall control. Governing law and dispute resolution are as specified in the Terms of Service.
